HomeBalint Weekends

Balint weekends usually meet Friday evening and Saturday until early afternoon. They allow people a chance to do a number of Balint groups in a row and to experience the expansion of perspective that occurs with such exposure. They may carry CME or CPE credits or both. They provide an excellent introduction to Balint work and remarkably compact, pointed self-care for busy physicians and psychotherapists.  Weekends sponsored by the Northwest Balint Circle have at least one ABS credentialed leader for every group. Members in the NWBC may receive discounts to these events.

Because Balint work has various effects, a Balint weekend can be tailored to emphasize any one of those. For example, a weekend might emphasize "Overcoming the Isolation of Professional Practice" or "Encouraging Cultural Humility". Like one-time demonstrations/introductions to the method, Balint weekends can be scheduled for the members of an interested organization or association.
